EirGrid have announced the emerging best performing route option for underground electric power cables to be installed for the East Meath-North Dublin upgrade following an extensive consultation process (which included a representative from Dunboyne AFC).
To obtain more information on the route, EirGrid are holding Open Days and Community Clinics and are providing Mobile Information Units. See Chart below.
The EirGrid Cable route will be passing Dunboyne AFC grounds and will turn left towards the M3 Parkway when it reaches the roundabout.
The purpose of the upgrade is to strengthen the electricity grid in the East of Meath and North Dublin to improve the transfer of power across the existing transmission network.
There will be a Mobile Information Unit at Dunboyne AFC grounds on Tuesday the 2nd May from 10am to 1pm if anyone wishes to ask questions about the upgrade or seek additional information.
